This postcard is the first piece of correspondence in the Max Kade Institute “Anna Seifert Collection,” but—as referenced on the card—not the first letter Anna Seifert wrote to her son Lester after he entered Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin, in the fall of 1931.
