The stories of your German-speaking ancestors are important to us. We can help you with your family research by offering general information on the immigrant experience, maps to help locate European town and villages, and a local referral list for transcription and translation services. We also regularly offer workshops for genealogists researching their German-speaking ancestors. If you have written your family history, we would be happy to add a copy to our Family History Collection in the Max Kade Institute Library.
Please make an appointment with an MKI staff member for assistence with specific materials. Patrons who wish to explore the resources of the Institute on their own, are welcome during regular library hours: Monday – Friday, 9 – 4pm.
