Emil Querner, 1829-1886

Emil Querner, born April 10, 1829, in Eisenberg, died 1886, in Philadelphia. Studied medicine and natural science in Germany and took part in the Revolutions of 1848. Fled to Canada where he practiced medicine, then came to Philadelphia in 1862, where he built his practice and was professor of physiology for three years at the American University of Philadelphia and Eclectic Medical College of Pennsylvania [extinct]. He wrote scientific articles and poetry.
